Technology Certification

EITCI Institute is a non-profit European Union based organization dedicated to dissemination of the European high quality and safety standards in modern technologies associated with IT. Due to increasingly critical role of IT along with secure communication and artificial intelligence in proper functioning of all kinds of modern sophisticated equipment, EITCI Institute believes that in the pursue for convenience provided by autonoumous solutions and technologies the safety and the confidence must be put on the first place.

One of the important fields of EITCI Institute's activity is participation in the development of relevant quality and safety standards in relation to information technologies and provision of direct evaluation and certification of new technological solutions, systems and devices upon compliance with those standards. Thus the EITCI Institute aims to provide EU decision-makers, Member State governments, trade unions, enterprises and consumers with the information they need on the development of modern technologies upon increasing dependence on IT systems, impact on the nature of performing work those technologies carry, as well as qualities and safety for the consumers. This evaluation and standards aherence attestation must be currently directed with a special focus on emerging challenges associated with reliability and security of involved artificial intelligence, robotics, as well as control and communication protocols.

The EITCI Institute cooperates with the following standardization institutions upon support of standards development as well as providing testing and certification of IT components, systems and devices:

  • in the European Union:
    • European Committee for Standardization (CEN)
    • European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC)
    • European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)
  • internationally:
    • International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
    • International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
    • International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

The EITCI Institute also offers IT related products developers and providers direct services of standards adherence evaluation (including laboratory testing of both software and hardware), technological audits and certification. The EITCI Insitute is currently working with the following industries and technology sectors:
